About the Team

 

Nursing Team

Our Practice Nurse is available by appointment for: Chronic Disease Reviews including Pre-diabetes, Family Planning advice, Smears, Lifestyle advice, Wound Care, Childhood Immunisations, Vaccinations.

Health Care Assistants

Our Healthcare Assistants are also available by appointment for: Blood Tests including INR’s, Blood pressure checks, ECG’s Diabetic foot checks, weight monitoring, B12 injections, Flu and Covid Vaccinations.

Practice Pharmacist

The Practice Pharmacist is based at the surgery and deals with any medication queries completes medication reviews with patients, amends patients medication as per clinic letters and discharge advice letters from hospital.

Practice Manager

The Practice Manager manages the business aspects of the practice and ensures procedures are in place for the practice to provide the best quality patient care. In order to ensure the practice is performing to a high standard, the Practice Manager works closely with the GP’s to deliver enhanced patient care. The Practice Manager also deals with patient complaints, HR, the practices finances and the premises.

Administration Team

There are various roles that our administrative team cover at the practice. The team of 7 staff each have different roles which include: The issuing of prescriptions, sending patient referrals and any chase-ups for the GP’s or patients, recalling patients for their chronic disease monitoring, dealing with pathology results, actioning results as per GP’s comment, scanning documents to patients records, private medical information requests, patient registrations, dealing with medical records transferring in and out from the practice and financial claims.

Reception Team

Our reception team provide the vital link between patient and clinician and are the initial point of contact for all enquiries coming into the surgery. The reception team are responsible for filling each clinicians appointments and will ask for some information from patients so that they may book the appointment with the most appropriate clinician. The team also deal with prescriptions and general queries.
